[lang_en-uk]2012 ended in great satisfaction for the Abbey Vocational School U14 boys team. They defeated P.C.C Falcarragh in the Mc Devitt Cup Final on December 19th last and in doing so is the first Team from the School to lift any silverware on the GAA grounds in over a decade. In the run up to the final the AVS Team was undefeated in this years campaign. Team Manager Pauric O’Donnell described the win as “a good stepping stone for the school and one that everyone is very proud of”. The players have worked very hard this year”.
Abbey advanced to represent Donegal in the Ulster Championship quarter final. There they recently beat St. Joseph’s of Enniskillen and in the coming weeks will play St.Mary’s College, Clady in the Ulster Semi-Final. This match is due to be played after the Mid-term break.
