Déanfaidh na Conraitheoirí BAM CPP tús air an foirgneamh seo láithreach ar an suíomh seo atá c.8.8 acra talaimh ag Cnoc na Móna / Carnamuggagh, Leitir Ceanainn. Beidh áit anseo do bhreis agus 350 mac léinn chun freastal ar an scoil nua seo, atáthar ag súil le bheith críochnaithe roimh 2014. Is imeacht suntasach agus stairiúil seo do Choiste Gairmoideachais Contae Dhún na nGall, don Phríomhoide, Foireann, Mic Léinn agus Tuismitheoirí Coláiste Ailigh.
Tá Coiste Gairmoideachais Contae Dhún na nGall an-bhuíoch don Aire Oideachais & Scileanna, Ruairí Quinn, TD., i dteannta a chuid réamhtheachtaí sa Roinn Oideachais & Scileanna as an tionscadal seo a thabhairt fhad le céim na tógála. [lang_en-uk]Following the announcement by Ruairí Quinn, T.D., Minister for Education and Skills on 12th November 2012 that eight schools being delivered in 7 different counties under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model are to commence construction immediately, Co. Donegal VEC wishes to confirm that the “Turning of the Sod” for the new Coláiste Ailigh Building took place on site at Knocknamona/Carnamuggagh, Letterkenny last Friday 23rd November 2012 afternoon.
Contractors BAM PPP will commence construction of the new School Building immediately on Committee’s 8.8 acre site at Knocknamona/Carnamuggagh, Letterkenny. The new Coláiste Ailigh Building will cater for 350 pupils and is expected to be completed by 2014. This is a particularly significant event for the Co. Donegal VEC, the Principal, Staff, Students and the Parents of Coláiste Ailigh, Leitir Ceanainn, past and present.
Co. Donegal VEC is most grateful to the Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairí Quinn, T.D., together with his predecessors in the Department of Education and Skills for authorising this project to proceed to construction stage. Co. Donegal VEC also wishes to extend its thanks to the National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) for its advice and assistance with PPP Bundle 3.
