[lang_ie]Bhí cuairteoir an-speisialta i láthair i gColáíste Earagail le déanaí, sé sin an Sárimreoir Peile CLG Colm ‘Gooch’ Cooper ó Chontae Chiarraí. Bhí Colm sa scoil le cur chun cinn an Comórtas Build A Bank i gcomhar le Banc AIB a bhfuil Coláiste Earagail páirteach le cúpla bliain anuas. D’éirigh go maith leo sa Chomórtas seo mar fuarthas fad leis an phríomhbhabhta trí am go dtí seo agus tá foireann i mbliana ag iarraidh dul rith an bhealaigh ar fad. Ghlac na mic léinn misniú ó Cholm agus an tallann iontach atá aige agus a bheith tiomáinte le dul i dtreo seo.
Bhuail foireann agus mic léinn na scoile ar Cholm agus tar éis roinnt pictiúir a ghlacadh, rinne Colm cur chun tosaigh tionscadail litearthachta mar Read LK agus JCSP. Ina dhiaidh sin arís, rinneadh seisiún scileanna peile sa pháirc leis na foirne peil ón scoil. Thaitin seo go mór leis na mic léinn. Thug príomhoide na scoile, Ms.Anne McHugh, buíochas do Cholm bheith i láthair agus bronnadh air píosa d’earraí gloine ó Ryan Spencer agus peann adhmad ó Mháistir Ó Dochartaigh mar chomóradh ar an chuairt anseo go Coláiste Earagail.[/lang_ie]
[lang_en-uk]Errigal College had a very special visitor recently in the form of Kerry football and GAA All Star player, Colm ‘Gooch’ Cooper. Colm was at the school to promote the AIB Build A Bank Competition in which Errigal College has been a star performer in recent years, having reached the Finals on three separate occasions and this year’s team are more determined than ever to achieve the ultimate prize. The students have taken heart from Colm and his outstanding talent, drive and commitment to hopefully achieve this aim.
Staff and students met Colm and had pictures taken as he promoted a number of literacy initiatives like Read LK and JCSP. Afterwards, it was out to the football pitch where Colm gave a session of football skills to the eager students, who enjoyed this immensely. Ms.Anne Mc Hugh, Errigal College Principal thanked Colm for his visit and he was presented with a piece of glassware from transition year student Ryan Spencer and also a wood turned pen from Mr.Doherty as a small momentum to commemorate his visit to Errigal College.[/lang_en-uk]
