Seo an dara huair atá an t-éacht seo bainte amach ag an Choláiste mar go raibh an bua fós acu sa bhliain 2008/09 faoi Ms.Tara Friel. I mbliana ar an bhealach fhad leis an chluiche ceannais bhuail na cailíní i gcoinne Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair, Coláiste Ghleann na Finne agus Coláiste Earagail sa chontae seo. Ansin ar an 31 Eanáir i Muineachán bhuail siad Wilson’s Hospital School ó Muilte Faranáin, An Iarmhí le cúpla cúl sa bhreis le fáil fhad leis an chluiche ceannais.
[lang_en-uk]Last week Mulroy College Senior Girls Soccer Team won the All-Ireland Final at this level by defeating Our Lady’s Secondary School, Belmullet 2-1 in McSharry Park, Sligo. A keenly contested final that had all supporters on the edge right up to the finish. Link here to Donegal Democrat for a full write up on what is a wonderful achievement for the College. This is the 2nd time for Mulroy College to win this level, having previously won in 2008-09 under Ms.Tara Friel. This year on the road to the final, the girls notched up victories against Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair, Finn Valley College and Errigal College within the county and on 31st Jan last in Monaghan in cold and foggy conditions they beat Wilsons Hospital School, Multyfarnham, Co.Westmeath by two goals to set up last weeks final.
Many congratulations to all the girls involved, their manager Aisling McAteer and her assistant Paul Mc Govern and to all their families and supporters.[/lang_en-uk]
