Donegal ETB’s Further Education and Training (FET) Service has launched its FET Student Hub, a one-stop shop containing all the information a prospective or current FET student might need before or during their course.
It was developed by the FET Quality Assurance staff as a direct response to feedback from FET students who had requested a central resource where all the information relevant to them could be collected in one place and easily navigated.
Sections on the Hub include:
– Academic Information
– Financial Supports
– Tech Resources
– Learning Supports
– Travel and Transport
– Career Guidance
– Student Voice Opportunities
– Events and Calendar
Speaking about the new Hub, Assistant Training Centre Manager Deirdre McColgan said, “we hope the Student Hub will become the ‘go to’ digital destination for students in need of information. We’ve tried to combine all the relevant organisational and course information with additional resources such as student support and wellbeing. We hope our Student Hub shows our students we are committed to meeting their needs whether that’s educational or training or even the wider context of life.”
The Hub will be regularly updated so current or prospective FET students should bookmark it and check it often for new information and updates.
