The students and staff of Donegal ETB wish Brendan Boyce every success when he takes to the line for the 50km race walk at 12 noon today Friday 19th August at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Brendan is a former student of Mulroy College, Milford.
Speaking before the event Ms Anne McHugh, Chief Executive of Donegal ETB. said; ‘Brendan is a tremendous role model for all our young people in the county. His dedication to his sport is second to none and we will all be cheering him on as he competes in his second Olympics.’ Brendan now wears the colours of Letterkenny AC on the national circuit and is coached by his fellow walker Rob Heffernan who may be in the mix for a medal as the race progresses.
