Staff members of Donegal ETB are getting a special rate for ‘Soiree at the Castle’ concert at Glenveagh on Friday night. The concert is part of the Bealtaine festival and features the Errigal Singers, Saxtet and the fiddle-and-guitar combination Seamus Gibson and Dermot Toland.
It promises to be a musical evening with a difference in the stunning surroundings of the castle drawing room.
ETB staff can book for the reduced rate of €10 by phoning An Grianan Theatre, tel 07491 20777 or by calling in to the theatre. Quote ‘ETB offer’ when getting tickets.The price includes the bus to the Castle and tea/coffee, scones, jam and cream at reception!
Tickets are on sale to the public at €15. Numbers are limited.
The concert is being organised by the Donegal Music Education Partnership (DMEP), the musical wing of Donegal ETB 🙂
The Errigal Singers are DMEP’s adult choir, usually conducted by Lorna McLaughlin of the Henry Girls. They were in great form at the ‘Hallelujah!’ concert in Ramelton on Friday night.
Saxtet are a group of young sax players conducted by one of Donegal’s best-known musicians, Sean McCarron.
Fiddler Seamus Gibson is one of the county’s best-kept musical secrets, a fiddler of stunning ability in partnership with a fine guitarist in Dermot Toland.
