The Irish Times has published a fascinating article on how a new approach to learning in the classroom has been adopted by Magh Ene which is already is delivering successful results.
A teaching revolution that ‘makes the classes come alive’ published by the Irish Times on the 12/01/16 outlines the measures being implemented by the school and how it is effecting the overall ethos of the school. The new approach focuses on teacher/student partnership as opposed to a teacher led style in the classroom. It seems this approach of ditching focus on ‘chalk and talk’, and moving to the Canadian student-led model has contributed to Magh Ene becoming one of the top-ranking in Ireland.
