[lang_ie]Mar pháirt den fheachtas ó Fháilte Ireland thug Seó Ryan Tubridy agus a chriú cuairt ar cuid de Shlí an Atlantaigh Fhiáin an tseachtain seo. Ina measc seo bhí ar Ryan féin triail a bhaint as imeachtaí a dtugtar “coasteering” air sa Bhéarla. Thug roinnt d’fhoireann Allamuigh Ghartáin orthu Ryan a thabhairt amach ar an ghníomhaíocht iontach seo a mbíonn úsáid ar scileanna dreapadóireachta, snámh agus fós bhí seansanna ann le léim anuas ó na beanna díreach isteach i bpoill san fharraige fút. Bhí pluais agus bearnaí cósta le feiceáil agus an nádúr agus fiadhúlra go forleathan. Is cinnte go raibh Ryan neirbhíseach ar dtús ach sa deireadh bhain sé agus gach duine an –spórt as an lá.
Rinneadh agallamh le cuid d’fhoireann Allamuigh Ghartáin beo ar Seó Ryan Tubridy ar An Chéadaoin ó Bhaile Dún Fhionnachaidh. Lean an nasc anseo.
Ba mhaith le Foireann agus Allamuigh Ghartáin a mbuíochas a ghabháil le 2fm (Seó Ryan Tubridy), d’Fháilte Ireland, fós do Chlub Gailf Ros na Binne a chuir áiseanna ar fáil.
Comhghairdeas libh uile a bhí ann agus páirteach agus feic anseo fós nasc fhad le suíomh idirlíon Ionad Ghartáin le haghaidh eolais ar Champaí Samhraidh agus neart rudaí eile atá ag tarlú ansin.[/lang_ie]
[lang_en-uk]The Wild Atlantic Way as it is known (tourism promotion of Fáilte Ireland) was given a good promotion this week when the Ryan Tubridy Show visited several locations and among the experiences for Ryan himself was to team up with the dedicated and professional staff of Gartan Outdoor Education & Training Centre and for Ryan to get involved with a go at “coasteering”.
Coasteering is an exhilerating activity, involving exploration of a stretch of cliff coastline, using climbing skills, swimming, and occasionally jumping into glorious, deep pools with surging sea. Caves and inlets are explored and wildlife is abundant at close proximity. Ryan (nervous at first really got into it) and his crew all had a ball and enjoyed themselves.
Gartan OETC staff were interviewed on the Tubridy morning programme which was broadcast from Dunfanaghy on Wednesday 10th. Please listen here. The campaign from Fáilte Ireland was boosted with the fine weather and the involvement of Ryan Tubridy.
Gartan OETC wish to express their thanks and gratitude to 2fm (The Ryan Tubridy Show), to Fáilte Ireland and also to Rosapenna Golf Pavilion for their provision of facilities on the day.Well done to all involved and link here to the website of Gartan OETC itself for information on activities like Summer Camps and other happenings in this wonderful location.
