All Donegal ETB post-primary schools will remain open with protective measures as provided for in Level 5 of Ireland’s Plan for Living with COVID-19 which Ireland moves to from midnight on Wednesday 21 October. This statement from Minister for Education Norma Foley on sustaining the safe operation of schools during Level 5 measures applies.
Donegal ETB’s Further Education and Training (FET) Centres will remain open for the maintenance of essential services and for the following instruction/teaching provision Apprenticeships and training courses which are primarily practical in nature, Learning for Living, Youthreach and Specialist Training Programmes.
Post Leaving Certificate (PLC), Back to Education Initiative (BTEI), Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS) and in-centre instruction/teaching provision will move on-line, as will Adult Guidance and Information Service activities.
Some activities which require an onsite presence e.g. laboratory exercises, practical classes and examinations that cannot be held remotely will also take place in centres.

Level 5 restrictions will remain in place for a period of six weeks until Tuesday 01 December, following the announcement by An Taoiseach Micheál Martin yesterday, Monday 19 October.
Donegal ETB’s Administrative Offices in Letterkenny will remain closed to the general public. However, arrangements in respect of business continuity for essential administrative services, including the payment of students, staff and suppliers will continue.
