Culture Night is an annual all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. This year, it will take place on Friday 18th September 2015. On Culture Night, arts and cultural organisations and venues of all shapes and sizes, including the National Cultural Institutions, extend their opening hours to allow for increased access to the public. Special and unique events and workshops are specifically programmed at participating locations and everything is available free of charge.
The Donegal Music Education Partnership’s programme for Culture Night is offering the general public an opportunity to observe, meet & listen to the Donegal Youth Orchestra at their ‘Open Rehearsal’ as part of Culture Night in Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny, on Friday 18th September from 8:15 – 9:00pm. Suitable for all ages, everyone welcome, we look forward to meeting you there! Also included in the Programme is:
- Soundwaves Showcase – a film documenting the Soundwaves programme will be shown in the auditorium in the Regional Cultural Centre from 6:00pm-10:00pm.
- Mind Your Quavers Ensemble will be performing an eclectic mix of music that moves from light classical to folk and more in between to keep you entertained in the Main Gallery of the Regional Cultural Centre from 9:15pm -10:00pm.
So what better way to spend a Friday evening but sampling what Culture Night has to offer and come along to see this fantastic showcase by the Donegal Music Education Partnership.
