[lang_ie]Rachaidh an Aoine, 12 Aibreán i mbliana síos sa stair na scoile agus leis na cailíní óga tar éis dóibh an chéad Chomórtas Sinsearach sa Sacar a bhaint.
Bhí an cluiche ceannais ann idir iad féin agus seaimpíní anuraidh (Meánscoil Chríost Rí na gCailíní, Corcaigh) – ar ndóigh na foirne céanna ón bhliain anuraidh ach bhí cailíní Thír Chonaill ar mhaithe le hathrú ar an scór deiridh a bhaint amach i mbliana. Bhí na cailíní ó Chríost Rí ag baint 3-1 ag leath-am ach tháinig na cailíní ó Choláiste Pobail Bun an Phobail ar ais sa dara leath le comhscór ann 3-3 agus fuarthas scór amháin eile agus bhí an lá ag cailíní Dhún na nGall le scór 4-3.
Tá na cailíní an-sásta mar is é seo an chéad uair don scoil seo a bhaint amach agus déanann muid comhghairdeas leo uile. Bhfuil seans ann go mbeidh an dá scoil sa chluiche ceannais ar an bhliain seo chugainn arís? [/lang_ie]
[lang_en-uk]Friday week last 12th April will long be remembered by the girls and those associated with the winning for the first time of the All Ireland Senior Schools Championship.
The hard-fought final held in Dublin was between Moville CC and the reigning champions from Cork, Christ King Girls Secondary School – who incidentally were the same teams in the final the previous year but the Donegal Girls were adamant that the scores would be reversed this time around. The Cork girls led 3-1 at half-time but an excellent second half display by the Moville School saw the score tied at 3-3 and Moville went on to score the winning goal in extra time and held on for the win – 4-3.
The girls are very proud to have achieved this honour for their school for the first time and we congratulate them all on this wonderful achievement. Is it possible that both schools could meet in the final next year again?[/lang_en-uk]
