[lang_ie]Bhain Ciara Ní Dhubhgáin, Coláiste Phobail Cholmcille, Toraigh, teastas ardmholta i gcomórtas ‘Write a poem’ a reáchtáil an iris ‘Teaching English’. Bhí bronnadh na nduaiseanna ann inniu, 19 Deireadh Fómhair, in Ionad Oideachais Laois.
Ní rud úr seo ag Ciara áfach, nó tá duaiseanna go leor buaite aici dona cuid scríbhneoireachta le tamall anuas. D’éirigh thar barr léi i gcomórtas litríochta Údarás na Gaeltachta, ag Oireachtas na Gaeilge agus ag féile fhilíochta ‘Cuisle’ i Luimneach, as a cuid scéalta agus dánta Gaeilge. Seo an chéad úr ar bhain sí aitheantas amach mar scríbhneoir Béarla.
Tá idir mhúinteoirí agus scoláirí agus thuismitheoirí thar a bheith bródúil aisti.
Ádh mór a Chiara, agus Comhghairdeas leat.[/lang_ie] [lang_en-uk]Ciara Ní Dhubhgáin, Coláiste Phobail Cholmcille, Tory Island who has received a Certificate of High Achievement in the ‘Write a Poem’ competition which was run by the magazine ‘Teaching English’. The award ceremony took place today at the Laois Education Centre.
This is nothing new to Ciara however, as she has previously achieved awards for her writings in recent times. She has excelled at literary competitions run by Údarás na Gaeltachta, at Oireachtas na Gaeilge and at the poetry festival ‘Cuisle’ in Limerick in recent times with her stories and poetry in Irish. This is actually the first time she has been awarded for her writings in English.
Naturally all teachers, scholars and no doubt her parents are very proud of her.
Well done Ciara and Congratulations.[/lang_en-uk]
