Gairmscoil Mhic Diarmada
Mission Statement: To promote, offer and support accessible and inclusive learning which enables students to empower themselves to reach their full potential.
Gairmscoil Mhic Diarmada officially opened in 1990. Since the opening of the school, young people can complete their second level education whilst living at home.
Following further receipt of funding from the Department of Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht additional accommodation was built and subsequently opened in 1994. The Community Arts facility is an integral part of the school building. In February 2015 a new all-weather pitch opened and is used not just by the school but also by the local community.
The school meets the needs of the local community by offering the following range of programmes:
